Susane Njomo received her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from George Mason University in Fairfax Virginia. She is a Family Nurse Practitioner, board-certified by American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) and by American Association of Nurse Practitioner (AANP). She is licensed by the state of Virginia to provide family-centered health care to patients of all ages. Her practice encompasses health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis and management of common and complex health care problems. Her special interest lies in preventive medicine.
Susane’s health care career spans over 28 years of nursing experience and education in various areas of patient care (medical, surgical, home health, infusion therapy and nurse practitioner). She has a unique combination of strong nursing skills and her main goal is to provide the best health care possible. She believes in treating her patients like family. Building a long lasting and trusting relationship with her patients and enhancing a positive healing experience and confidence to those in need are her ultimate aspirations.
Susane is an active member of several professional organizations including AANP; Sigma Theta Tau, the International Honor Society of Nursing and Infusion Nursing Society (INS). She is also certified in infusion therapy and volunteers her time in some local health fairs.
